Get to Know Dr. Melito
Dr. Christine Melito received her Doctorate of Dental Medicine in 2004 from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine where she graduated Summa Cum Laude. While attending Tufts, she was elected into the XI-XI Chapter of Omicron Kappa Upsilon, a National Dental Honor Society. Upon graduation, Dr. Melito continued her studies at Boston University Goldman School of Dental Medicine where she received her Master of Science degree in Dentistry and her Certificate of Advanced Graduate Study in Endodontics in 2007. She has been in private practice in Endodontics since that time.
Prior to her dental education, Dr. Melito received her Bachelor of Science degree in Cardiopulmonary Science from Northeastern University. She practiced as a respiratory therapist at Tufts Medical Center and Children's Hospital for three years prior to transitioning into her dental career. Dr. Melito has also served as a Captain (CPT) in the Army National Guard from 2001-2008.
Dr. Melito is an active member of the American Association of Endodontists, the American Dental Association, and the Massachusetts Dental Society. She is also an active member of the East Middlesex District Dental Society and North Shore District Dental Society. Dr. Melito is a contributing author to 2 published papers on Advanced Glycation End Product induced apoptosis in osteoblasts and fibroblasts.
Dr. Melito lives with her husband and their 2 children. In her spare time, she enjoys running and photography and has run 5 marathons.
